A man who is believed to have died after being struck by lightning in Hamilton, has now been identified.
68 year old Ronald McCreadie was struck, as intense thunderstorms roared across the city late yesterday afternoon.
At the time, McCreadie was walking in a woodlot linked to the Bruce Trail between Scenic Drive and Sanatorium Road.
Paramedics responded to the mountain brow almost immediately, but were unable to revive McCreadie. He was pronouced dead at hospital.
