A scary incident at the Hamilton Airport this morning.
Airport fire officials tell CHML News that a pilot who had just taken off from Munro International at around 7 o'clock had to return to the tarmac minutes later because of smoke in the cockpit.
The single engine, two seater landed safely.
The man piloting the plane was not hurt and the plane suffered minimal damage.
The cause of the smoke is now under investigation.
